Why can't I send a document?
If you're trying to get started with Sympa however are encountering the error message "Sending failed", this points to an incorrect setup either on Scrive or Sympa. You can easiest troubleshoot this by following below steps:
1. Integration-key
The integration-key is a number combination that you receive from your contact either at Sympa or here at Scrive. It's always a longer number combination which starts with 9221.
To verify that you have the correct key and that it's setup correctly, contact the Scrive Support at support@scrive.com and ask them if the integration-key is setup correctly, if the answer is yes, move on to the next step.
2. Wrong endpoint
When setting up the Scrive E-Sign integration at Sympa you'll need to configure where the documents are sent. Make sure that the "Service Provider URL" is set to "https://sympa-integration.scrive.com/api/v1" in the Electronic Signature Settings.
3. Custom properties
A common reason for the error message "Sending failed" is that the custom properties are setup incorrectly. To verify that the custom properties are setup correct, compare them to this list here.
It's also good to make sure that any custom properties used that includes "signerX" replaces the X with the signatory order of the party that it should affect.
(E.g: "signer1__authentication_method_to_sign")
4. Phone numbers aren't in international format
Scrive requires the numbers used for invitation and confirmations via SMS to be in international format, this means that the mobile numbers set for the contacts also need to be set in the international format.
5. You're trying to use an e-ID which isn't activated on your Scrive account
If you're using one of our e-IDs we offer in Sympa it's good to make sure that it's activated for your account. Contact the Scrive Support at support@scrive.com and ask them if your account is setup according to your needs.
6. The secret key is incorrect in the Sympa environment
One of the possible reasons is that the secret key is incorrect, ask your Sympa contact to generate a new secret key to make sure this isn't the issue.
