Working with Templates (Scrive New)
This guide takes you through all there is to know about working with Templates in eSign Online/ Scrive New.
Templates make it possible to personalise how automated the process of sending a document for signing is to be. Storing pre-filled document set-ups in your Scrive account. Templates optimise workflows by making document processes less repetitive, more efficient and minimises the room for mistakes.

Start a new process using a template

Create a new template
There are two ways of creating a new template. You can either choose to save a new process that you have started as a template by clicking Save as template instead of Start signing. Or, navigate to Templates in the navigation menu to your left and click New template.
Start a new process using a template
There are two ways of starting a new process using a template. Either click New process in the navigation menu to your left, followed by choosing one of the options under Start from template. Or, click Templates in the navigation menu to your left (as shown in the picture) and choose a template to start a new process from.
Edit a template previously created
To edit a template that you have previously created, navigate to Templates in the navigation menu to your left. Choose the template you want to edit by clicking on the edit symbol to the right of the template name. Edit the template how you want it and then click Save template when you are happy with your changes.
Share a template
To share a template with others in your team, navigate to Templates in the navigation menu to your left. Mark the template you want to make available to others and then click Share. The template will now become available to everyone else in your organisation. To stop sharing a template with your organisation, simply re-do the same steps and press Unshare.
Deleting a template
To delete a template, navigate to Templates in the navigation menu to your left. Mark the template you no longer want to keep and then click Delete. Once you have deleted a template, it will be moved to Trash for 30 days until it is removed permanently.
To retrieve a template again from the trash. Navigate to Trash in the navigation menu to your left and mark the object you want to take back from the trash bin followed by clicking on Restore.
