All eIDs at Scrive
All available eIDs available at Scrive are listed here.
To reach an extra level of security within e-signing you can choose to add an eID as an authentication method. This will upgrade the security level from a Basic Electronic Signature (ES) to an Advanced Electronic Signature (AES). Please view this article to read more about the different levels of electronic signatures provided by the eIDAS regulation.
You can select to add an eID as an extra authentication method partly to open the document (before and after it is signed) and partly to sign it. If you want to have this extra authentication method to open up the document (before or after it has been signed) you typically need to know and add the recipient's SSN (Social Security Number/Personal number) before sending out the document for signing (this does not apply to all eIDs and depends on which one you will be proceeding with).
If you select an eID as authentication method to sign the document you do not have to add the SSN of the recipient before sending out the document for signing. The SSN will be collected and related/visible in the document when the recipient has used the Swedish BankID to sign.
When using an eID as an authentication method to sign, the SSN of the recipient will be visible on the verification page along with the entire name, email + exact time when the signing took place. The SSN will also be visible within the attached evidence package. You can choose to use an eID as an authentication method and hide the SSN if that for some reason is required (note that this may vary depending on how the eID of your choice is operating).
Please note that hiding SSN will remove it both from the verification page and from the evidence package, meaning the security level goes down from an Advanced Electronic Signature to a Basic Electronic Signature (ES).
If you lack the option to pick the eID of your choice as an authentication method, please reach out to support@scrive.com for assistance. There is a cost per eID-transaction related to this, for more information regarding pricing or conditions, reach out to your customer success contact at Scrive or to cos@scrive.com.
