How can I stop receiving an invitation to sign a document?
Rejecting a document
If an initiating party in Scrive has sent out a document with a typo in the e-mail, it may get sent to the wrong participant. If you have received an invitation to sign a document and haven't had any contact with the sender regarding this you can reject a document.
When a party rejects a document:
- All parties are notified of this fact
- It's no longer possible to sign the document
- The message is sent according to the “invitation_delivery_method” setting for each affected party
To reject a document follow below steps:
Open the e-mail sent to you via Scrive.
Click on the button "Go to document".
After you've opened the signing page, scroll to the bottom.
After you've scrolled down to the bottom, click on "Reject and reply".
Here you can add a rejection reason to the initiating party via the "Message" box.
When you've reached this page and see the text "The document is no longer available for signing" you're done and the initiating party will receive the information regarding the wrongly sent invitation.
