How to troubleshoot "received empty file" error
If you encountered one of the following error messages:
"The file buffer was empty. Please make sure the file was provided correctly"
"received empty file"
This points to that Scrive was not able to receive the document you're trying to send. Most likely it's something internal that blocks this and is often related to firewall restrictions. Follow the steps below and try again:
- Whitelist scrive.com
- Ensure that the following calls are unobstructed:
POST https://scrive.com/api/v1/getpersonaltoken
PUT https://go-printer.scrive.com/printer - Make sure that the following .exe files are not blocked:
%programfiles(x86)%\pdf995\res\ScriveLogIn.exe
%programfiles(x86)%\pdf995\res\ScriveUpload.exe - Make sure the following IPs are whitelisted:
· 46.51.201.244
· 52.208.49.53
· 54.229.202.191
· 54.246.132.30
· 54.72.249.47
· 54.72.251.235
· 34.251.5.243
· 52.208.131.2
· 99.80.133.235
Worth mentioning is also that we use HTTPS/SSL & Port 443.
