Why doesn't the invites follow the invitation order that I have set?
This article contains the following sections, click to see the instruction for the version of Scrive Online that you are currently using:
Scrive New:
Invitation order determine the order invitations to sign will be sent out. The first thing to check is that you have set the order is correct. This can be done by clicking on the document in the E-achive, then clicking on respective party.
If several parties have invitation order 1, then the invitation will go to all of them at the same time. When they are done the invitation will go to the next part in order. There is one exception to this and that is with the role Viewer. In Scrive there is 3 roles as seen on the picture below.
Both the Signer and the Approver are roles that needs to take action in the process while the Viewer is only allowed to view the document, hence does not need to take any action.
Let's say that you have an invitation order from 1-5. First in the order is an Approver, number 2-4 are Viewers and number 5 is a Signer. The document will first be sent to the Approver. When the Approver has approved the document number 2-5 will all receive their invitation. The reason for this is that the Viewer doesn't take any action so the invitation will continue until a part that needs to take action. If instead number 2-5 were Signees the order would be followed as instructed.
Now assume that you have an order where 1-4 are Viewers and number 5 is a Signer. In this case, number 5 will get the document at the same time as the others. If the signee signs the document, so that it gets the status Closed, then the viewers won't be able to use their links anymore. This also means that you shouldn't place a viewer last in order if you want the party to view the document during the process.
